No Place Like (sound design)

Forbidden cake, a sunset remembered in gouache, and a pigeon that was really an owl. Based on recordings of real conversations, No Place Like celebrates the everyday experiences and lifelong memories of an older generation living in care homes. As playful and poetic as the voices that inspired it, this devised, ensemble piece asks how we might reconnect with a generation which feels increasingly distant. A devised piece by Le Mot Juste Theatre.

Soundtrack for a film to promote The Unilever Series: turbinegeneration (composition)

The Unilever Series: turbinegeneration is a unique programme that brings together schools, galleries and artists from across the world. The Unilever Series: turbinegeneration will enrich and build lasting international partnerships by combining the virtual with the real. Provision of an annual Summer School where artists, institutions and young people come together will help maintain momentum and feed back into sustaining high quality online exchange on the web platform. This will rotate between participating countries each year. The European group will pilot this international venture together in 2012 with a view to integrating it into the core programme from 2013 onwards.

The footage from the summer school was edited back in the UK and shown as part of Louisiana Museum’s presentation at the World’s Together conference.
